PRODUCT CARE

The following instruction is for those who would like to know how to handwash and care for their cashmere and/or wool products at home.

PREWASHING

Before washing your cashmere/wool product, please lightly pick off the pilling by hand or by using a special cashmere comb. Because it’s made of natural materials, pilling is unavoidable and does not mean there’s an issue with your product.

HINT: Be sure to wash your product with the same colors. If they’re different colors, wash them separately, following these steps.

  1. Soak the product in lukewarm (or, less than 30 Celsius) water with cashmere and wool detergent, and gently handwash. DO NOT let it sit in the water for a prolonged time because the product might shrink. DO NOT stretch or scrub. DO NOT use whitener or chemicals.
  2. Rinse and press gently to let the water out. Smooth the product, place it on a flat surface, and let it dry naturally. DO NOT twist or put it in the drier.
  3. If necessary, use a steam iron (or, medium heat or on cashmere setting) to smooth the wrinkles.

Clean your cashmere/camel wool product before storing for a long period of time. Fold and put it in a breathable bag so that it’ll prevent from moth, smell, or any other damages. It’s also best to store the item away from the direct sunlight or heat source to preserve the quality of the fabric.

With these simple steps, you may extend your cashmere/camel wool product’s lifecycle. In return, your product will get softer, and let you enjoy its warmth and luxurious feel for many years to come.
